The Metro Star-RT® (Rescue Transport) cab and chassis is designed for maximum maneuverability and reliable performance with unrivaled power and payload for the Type I-Additional Duty ambulance or medium-sized walk-through rescue markets. A custom ladder frame and rear air suspension with kneeling feature, provide a stable, comfortable ride for patient and crew. The Metro Star-RT® is available in LTD (Long Two Door) and MFD (Medium Four Door) cab lengths and with Classic (standard) or Evolution fascia styling.

The tightest turn radius and the most maneuverable chassis on the market. The turning radius cramp angles range up to 53° and offer up to a 19-degree approach angle, exceeding NPFA 1901 standards.

• Optimized Engine Tunnel

Increases the hip room for the driver and officer seating location as well as the rear crew floor space behind the engine tunnel, all without increasing the width of the cab. The rear of the tunnel is pushed forward to give an additional 2" of leg room for the two center forward facing crew, increasing leg room by +3.8%.

• Forward Cab Roof Design

All raised roof applications include forward roof protection that extends over the driver and officers seating offering more headroom and better line of site.

• Independent Front Suspension

Spartan’s 20k and 24k independent front suspensions provide superior cramp angles with full air suspension available with a range of tire sizes designed for easy service and maintenance.

• High Air Intake

Spartan’s heavy-duty high air intake mitigates the risk with fewer connections and places the air filter and ember separator above the radiator and turbo connection. Air filter replacement can be easily done without tools and without compromising the clean side of the intake system.
