2022 Spartan Motors IPS

Spartan has developed proprietary solutions for those departments demanding multi-functional pumpers. Through a combination of unequaled industry knowledge of packaging, pump design, power take-off, and water flow we have developed a pumper lineup that meets or surpasses anything available today.

The Intelligent Pump Solution (or IPS) combines the functions of a pumper and a rescue. It offers cutting-edge carrying capacity, pump operation safety, maneuverability in tight spaces, and apparatus versatility. The pump is located directly behind the cab through a compact design.

Features may include:

• Darley, Hale, or Waterous pump options

• 500 to 1,500 US gallon tank capacity

• Stainless steel or aluminum body construction

• Vibra-Torq body mounting system

• Compartment depths (12.5" or 25.5" Upper/25.5" lower)

• Same high capacity as a traditional pump, but takes up far less space

• Vibra Torq Body-Mount System

Reduces vibration and stresses on the body for a smoother ride, requires less maintenance, and leads to longer vehicle life.

• Tor-Max® & Tri-Max® Body Construction

Delivers extra compartment space, reduces torsional resistance and improves structural stability.

• IPS Pump Design

The IPS pump design provides a safe and ergonomic work environment with color coded pump panels that offer an organized and identifiable layout to easily perform the functions needed on the job.

• Low Cross Lay Height

Allows for easy deployment and loading.

• Spartan One-Touch CAFS

Allows for easy control and operation without manual processes or calculations. Once the pump is engaged and water is flowing, state-of-the-art electronics monitor components in a ready state. The system injects foam into the water and air into the appropriate discharge, sensing foam/water flow and eliminating slug flow.

Improves access and increases safety through improved stability.

• Smart Storage

Optional storage around the wheel wells increases the amount of usable compartment space. Smart Storage compartments were designed to free up body compartment space and bring equipment to a more usable height.

Our exclusive SG-09 Green Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) is designed to handle the rigors of the fire service and reduces the operation of the chassis engine while providing all electrical and HVAC capabilities.

The tightest turn radius and the most maneuverable chassis on the market. The turning radius cramp angles range up to 53° and offer up to a 19-degree approach angle, exceeding NPFA 1901 standards.
